Eric Ciborski | Solo Pianist

  • BArley's Taproom & Pizzeria 42 Biltmore Avenue Asheville, NC, 28801 United States (map)
Born & raised in New Jersey, Eric started taking piano lessons at age 5. Formally & classically trained throughout his childhood, he performed in many recitals & band concerts throughout elementary & middle school. Upon entering high school, he began to study jazz theory & improvisation. He began performing with his high school jazz band & also joined his first rock & roll garage band. After high school, Eric continued playing in various jammy, cover, & funk/afrobeat bands, playing gigs regionally throughout NJ, NY, and PA. In 2005 Eric moved to New Orleans where he went “back to school” soaking in more of the swampy grooves, thick history, & vibe of the city. As of 2007, Eric is currently living here in Asheville, NC where he continues to play solo and in bands around the region. He focuses his music on staying as versatile as possible infusing jazz, rock, roots, zydeco, and funk into the melting pot that defines the music scene nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
